Matematica este o limbă universală a naturii. Oriunde îți îndrepți privirea poți să observi implicațiile matematicii în tot ce te înconjoară. O componentă a matematicii se poate regăsi și în estetica frumosului - în artă, muzică, poezie, arhitectură.

Proiectul ”Footprints of Mathematics” – marca eTwinning, dezvoltat în parteneriat cu 21 de profesori din 8 țări, propune elevilor Liceului Teoretic Bilingv Ita Wegman, coordonați de doamna profesoară de matematică Lăcrămioara Stoica, un demers menit să le mijlocească elevilor decoperirea rolului matematicii în muzică și artă, prin activități ce îi provoacă să exploreze noi frontiere ale expresiei artistice și folosirea acestui instrument în actul creativ.

The "Footprints of Mathematics" project - the eTwinning brand, developed in partnership with 21 teachers from 8 countries, proposes to the students of the ”Ita Wegman” Theoretical Bilingual High School, coordinated by the mathematics teacher Lăcrămioara Stoica, an approach aimed at mediating the students' discovery of the role of mathematics in music and art, through activities that challenge them to explore new frontiers of artistic expression and the use of this tool in the creative act.
